SCIMEDICO

DECONTAMINATION

SCIMEDICO 4-12 PROTOCOL

The Scimedico 4-12 Decontamination Protocol utilizes a layered decontamination procedure based on a defined process.  The 4-12 Protocol applies four primary steps with three sub-steps for a total of twelve steps. The Scimedico

4-12 process makes use of specific decontamination agents. The process follows a defined procedure and reporting format to deliver a standardized approach to staff and overall laboratory safety.

SOLUTION FAQ

What is the difference between the 4-12 and 2-6 Protocols?

The Scimedico 4-12 Protocol should be considered a "deep decontamination" and should be conducted based on customer requirements. The Scimedico 2-6 Protocol has fewer steps and provides a solution for shorter interval decontamination.

Does Scimedico offer an integrated decontamination solution?

Yes, Scimedico can propose integrated solution combining the right mix of Preventive Maintenance services, the Scimedico PM Kit for end user use, and emergency response decontamination in the case of a hazardous contamination.

What do the numbers stand for in the 4-12 Protocol?

The Scimedico 4-12 Protocol is based on a total of four primary steps (each with 3 sub steps) for a total of twelve steps. The overall process is a layered decontamination procedure that builds on itself to ensure decontamination. We recommend this process be applied to establish a baseline of decontamination on the designated equipment or environment.

What do the numbers stand for in the 2-6 Protocol?

The Scimedico 2-6 Protocol is based on a total of two primary steps (both with three sub steps) for a total of six steps. The overall process is a layered decontamination procedure that builds on itself to ensure decontamination. We recommend this process be applied to establish a baseline of decontamination on the designated equipment or environment.

What is Scimedico's Surface Decontamination?

Scimedico surface decontamination utilizes hydrogen peroxide.  Scimedico will "fog" the environment in question, coating the floor, walls, and ceiling.
