U.S. #covid19 hospitalizations hit highest level in nearly six weeks

The U.S. reported more than 41,000 new coronavirus infections, while hospitals in many parts of the country experienced surging numbers of patients infected with the viral disease.

Monday’s figures bring the total number of people who are confirmed to have had the coronavirus in the U.S. to more than 7.8 million, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. The death toll has surpassed 215,000.
